Nike..... Just do it.
So I've noticed that I tend to match a lot. Yeah, I know, that's a good thing.....when you're talking about what you're wearing and not making it look like a first grader dressed you up in all of his favorite Marvel character outfits. But no, I'm talking about brands, logos, and dare I say it......TRENDS!!! Actually trends aren't so much the issue, but it's led me to believe that that's what people think when they see me.
Okay , Okay....So you must be thinking, "Okay, so you like Adidas.....so what? Everything in your house is Adidas then right?"
WRONG!
I could honestly care less about that type of marketing ploy and a one company loyalty. BUT...apparently, when it comes to making things match in it's particular field...I may wander to that side. Which brings us to...
Case in point-Article A) I just so happened to get some Adidas soccer shoes either on sale or maybe I got em for free....don't remember. Anyway, I decided to go ahead and get new shin guards too which of course happened to be Adidas shin guards. I did have Adidas socks..... but somehow they went missing so I just have some regular no name black socks. Accompany that with my Adidas soccer shorts, Adidas Soccer shirt, and since my last Mitre Soccer ball exploded in my car last week.... I now have a new Adidas soccer ball that looks like the ones used in the World Cup this year. (Except I got the shiny reflective one woot woot!) Oh yeah, forgot to mention I have two pairs of Adidas Soccer gloves for whoever plays goalie for both teams.
Article B) I had to hurry up and get my shoe voucher for this year from work and use it or else I'd lose it. But I needed to get some new running shoes anyway so I didn't want to miss out on that opportunity. Every year over at Track Shack they'd recommend me this Asics running shoe that matches my wide flat feet and particular gait. This year, our vendor changed over to Fleet Feet out in Altamonte and I wanted to see if they had some of those "Bare feet" running shoes.
There's a company that makes the ones where your toes are in separate fingered parts of it's 'shoe". And of course Nike makes a shoe that is now catering to the barefoot/minimalist craze. It's called Nike Free.
I was actually trying to find the fingered shoes but they didn't have it. They didn't have any Nike Free shoes in either. But they did have some other close options. I was going to get one from this company I've never heard of. But then they brought out another pair of Nike's that I actually liked so I went ahead with that one.
And the end!
This was taking WAYY too long.... I forgot what I was even talking about. Maybe one day I'll explain.
